From the sea to the mountains for Ticktum and F3

#27 Dan Ticktum (GBR – Motopark Dallara Volkswagen)
FIA F3 European Championship position: 1st – 222 points – after 21 of 30 races

It could hardly be a bigger change, going from Misano on the Adriatic to the Nurburgring in the Eifel mountains for this weekend's FIA F3 European Championship round. About the only thing that Red Bull Junior Dan Ticktum might find they have in common is the shabby weather, though the rain set for the week is due to clear for Saturday and Sunday.

The 19-year-old Briton did a superb job in the varying conditions last time out in Misano so is ready for anything. "Yes I don't mind at all. It's typical misty Nurburgring at the moment," commented the points leader mid Thursday. "I don't mind whatever the weather does, I was one of the quickest here last year in the Renault in the wet and the dry so I'm happy whatever it is."

A good track and a good car

"We are looking forward to a very positive weekend, I like the track. It is a shame we are only on the shorter version but it's still good, it's got off camber corners that I like, it's just all round a good track, hard to say why I like it so much really. I've got more experience here than at Misano and that obviously makes it easier."

"The car's good, we won't know really until we get out on track but I think that the base line is exactly where it should be so we just have to look after the details when we get going," concluded the Motopark driver.
