ADAC F4- Richard Verschoor competes in ADAC F4 at the Nürburgring

#22 Richard Verschoor (NED – Motopark Tatuus F4-T014/Abarth)

After a run of dominant weekends in NEZ and Spanish F4, Richard Verschoor has his second outing of the year in the ADAC F4 series this weekend at the Nürburgring. The 15-year-old Dutchman knows full well that the intensity of the competition is significantly higher and is ready to put everything into it.

"Yes, I know what to expect now, there are more drivers, faster drivers, faster cars but it will be different to my first time. I am much better prepared, I have done a lot more racing since Oschersleben and we had a really good two day test at the Nürburgring with Motopark."

After contesting Round 4 in Oschersleben, where his best result was 6th from 12th on the grid in Race 3, it is now Round 6 in the Red Bull Junior's partial ADAC campaign. "At the test we had good pace, both short and long runs so that gave us some confidence. Of course in ADAC we run different tyres and brakes and can change the car more but like I said, I am ready for the change now and it will be a lot easier than last time," explained the teenager who is running the full series of NEZ and Spanish F4.

"In ADAC the competition is more intense, you have to drive flat out all the time and that is what I have been working on myself. They overtake harder and defend harder and I know what I have to do. There are more cars on the track but with qualifying we are split into A and B groups so that helps."

Great track

"I've always wanted to race the Nürburgring, I was very much looking forward to going there and it was every bit as good as I expected, now I can't wait to race there, lots of overtaking possibilities so it should be a really great weekend."

"I haven't looked at the weather forecast yet, I was just about to do that but it doesn't matter too much, we have tested in the wet and the dry so it's not a problem," concluded Verschoor before setting off for the track on Thursday.
