Jack Doohan is in Asia again for F3 at Suzuka

#2 Jack Doohan (AUS – Hitech Grand Prix Tatuus Alfa Romeo)
F3 Asian Championship position: 2nd – 122 points – after 6 of 15 races

Jack Doohan arrived early in Japan for the F3 Asian Championship round at Suzuka, part of the Suzuka Race of Asia weekend and the Red Bull Junior was taking time to get well acclimatised. "It's my first time in Japan," explained the 16-year-old Australian.

"I had a couple of nights in Tokyo and a chance to look round and I've just arrived in Suzuka. It's a cool place with the amusement park as well as the race track. We have a 6am track walk tomorrow (Thursday) so that's going to be an early start to the day. So far all I know of it is from videos and a bit of time in the sim."

"It's certainly a classic track, the twisty first sector is so important to get right, the double right Degner corner and then the fast 130R which I guess will be flat but a real thrill to drive."

"It is also the first time here for my team so they will need all the input from both me and my teammate. It is his home track and though he won't want to give anything away I will be doing what I can to learn whatever possible from him," added Doohan who is second in the championship and chasing his more experienced Hitech Grand Prix team mate. Ukyo Sasahara has a 14 point advantage but there are 25 points on offer for each of the remaining 9 races in the season.
