Jack Doohan eyes F3 Asia title at Buriram finale

#7 Jack Doohan (AUS – Pinnacle Motorsport Tatuus Alfa Romeo)
F3 Asian Championship position: 2nd – 200 points – after 12 of 15 races

If momentum counts for anything Jack Doohan has it in spades going into the final round of the F3 Asian Championship at Buriram in Thailand this weekend. The Red Bull Junior's triple win last weekend in Sepang relaunched his title attack that had taken a nock at the previous event with a technical DNF.

Now just 15 points adrift in the standings, the 17-year-old Australian is on a roll, thrilled with the way that the Pinnacle Motorsport Tatuus Alfa Romeo was set up last time out and ready to add to his season total of 5 victories, one more than his arch rival and points leader Joey Alders.

He also qualified fastest in both sessions last weekend, something that had eluded him previously and was key to the domination.

A repeat would be great

"Obviously after a great weekend we are looking forward to doing the same thing again." stated Doohan from Thailand. "That's certainly the idea, to try and dominate Qualifying and to put ourselves in the situation to get the maximum points and have the best chance of taking the championship."

"It's another track that I know and the car should work well here again. Just why it was so good last weekend we cannot be absolutely certain, a combination of things, the temperature, the way that the tyres were working, the balance was great and it was all very predictable. We will try and repeat that."
